    1. SIP protocols:

    TLS (SIP over TLS, not SIPS) – is recommended.

    TCP – you can use it, if you don’t need security.

    UDP – is supported for compatibility with old clients. Please note that many home and public networks does not support long UDP packets. For example, if you have enabled many codecs, video, encryption your INVITE message will be to long for UDP, and your call may fail.

    SIPS is not supported.

    Our servers will translate between TLS, TCP and UDP if necessary.

    2. Media. SRTP is required by default to encrypt your calls.

    3. Messaging. You can use both SIP/SIMPLE or XMPP for messaging. Currently it works only inside sipmobile.org.
